Founder
Steve Grimberg, founder and President of White Stone has been providing service to the cryogenic industry for over 35 years. Steve is well known in the industry as a problem solver with the number one priority of keeping the customer happy. Steve has amassed a proven reputation of extremely accurate, dependable, and timely results to customers such as, Airgas, Air Liquide, Air Products and Chemicals, BOC, Linde, National Welders, Prax Air, Lockheed Martin, NASA, Military and Nuclear sites, just to name a few.


History
Steve was first exposed to the field of cryogenics while serving in the USAF in 1984. Upon returning to civilian life in 1989 Steve began his career in leak detection and cryogenic services with Jack B. Kelly in La Porte, TX. It was here that he gained valuable experience in leak detection and repair of cryogenic transport trailers. Steve managed several other cryogenic vessel repair facilities until he was employed in 1997 by CTR, Inc in Rock Hill, SC. For the next 11 years Steve served in developing the Vacuum Field Service Department, worked as Bulk Tank Department Manager, and finally, General Manager of Production. In 2008 Steve founded White Stone Cryogenics. His experience ranges from repair and maintenance of small liquid cylinders to 1,000,000 gallon storage vessels. His expertise is not limited to leak detection and repair of cryogenic vessels only. He has also gained experience in the installation, leak detection, and repair of vacuum jacketed piping, high pressure cylinder filling equipment, and on site tank removals and installations.

NASA
Worked on a 27,000-gallon hydrogen horizontal vessel at KSC. The vessel had a very bad vacuum leak that the people at NASA were not able to locate. When Steve arrived on-site, after looking at the method they were using to find the problem, he provided suggestions on a different method. The following day the leak was discovered and within a few days it was repaired and the rocket that was scheduled to launch was able to continue. Also advised NASA on installing more perlite insulation on one of the million-gallon spheres located on pad 36A

Lockheed Martin
Worked on a tank that rolled over in transport. Performed a vacuum insection and perlite removal and installation new perlite.

Air Liquide
Completed work on hundreds of bulk storage tanks and transports, from full rehabilitations to field service repairs.

Air Products
Completed work on hundreds of bulk storage tanks and transports, from full rehabilitations to field service repairs.

Praxair
In addition to working on hundreds of bulk storage tanks and transports, from full rehabilitations to field service repairs, White Stone was contracted to install a full cylinder fill plant in Charlotte, NC. The new plant was and is a show piece for Praxair.
