Leak Detection
At White Stone, leak detection is performed by using a helium mass spectrometer. This allows for non-destructive testing. Helium is used as a trace gas because it is rare in the atmosphere, inert, and the second smallest molecule, thus making it the ideal gas for finding the smallest of leaks. The helium leak detection method can be used in many applications where pressure or vacuum is concerned, such as:
